2010 CTL Ladder Is Up And Below Is Tally From The 2009 Edition. - Sunday, May 23, 2010

Finally, tennis weather has arrived and I have survived the skiing and the tax season (Robert, the Admin, here).  Work at paying job kept me busy, hence the delay, but when Andy starts posting his 2010 matches into the 2009 roster then I know I have been pushing my luck too far.  Hey, it's time to get out and get some matches logged on the Cranberry Twp Ladder (CTL), now!

Here is the 2009 year tally and, Hallelujah, we have some sponsors and some goodies we are giving away:

For Top 3 Most Matches Played in 2009:

  1. Free restringing; courtesy of Tennis Village.
  2. Two cans of Wilson balls for each player in the Men’s and Ladies division.

For 5 or More Matches Played in 2009 – free T-shirt; courtesy of Tennis Village.

Thanks everyone!

Sponsor Your CTL! - Sunday, June 03, 2007

CTL_WilsonKit_take2_web.jpg

We have received a Wilson "Kit for Kids" from USTA - Center Parks & Recreation  Program.  We gave this wonderful gift to our Coach - Tom Merchant to benefit the Kids Program.  We are greatful to Wilson and the USTA for helping our community tennis programs with these gifts.  There were a net, some balls, some court markers and two rackets in the kit.  Do you want to sponsor our Cranberry Tennis Ladder or other programs?  Drop us a line via the Contact Us page on this site.

CTL Ladder Signup

As we move towards the internet to make our Ladder more sustainable we ask you to register with our CTL site (top right corner of the page) and  sign up to a desired league in the Manage Services segment of the Account Profile.

The CTL administrator will then create your account on the Tennis Engine and the systems will send you an automated email notification on the status.

We do not accept email enrolment requests.  Please sign up online here with the CTL site to get the ball rolling!

Early bird gets the worm!  The enrolment is still FREE, and the Junior CTL will stay FREE, but expect a small $5-$10 fee per season for the adults in the future.  We're looking for ideas on how to improve our Ladder.  Please use the Contact Us form to share them with us.

2 out of 4 Cranberry Park tennis courts are being resurfaced (read: unusable) - April 09, 2008

Completion is expected in June.

Are you an expert?  The Township is looking for anyone that has experience with a court refinishing product that is a substitute for the standard Acrylic.  It goes under the product name Latexite.  ...it is a latex product and the claim is that it performs as well as acrylic.  ...there are advantages to using it, but the Township is looking for any references to its application.

Any ideas or contacts that may shed some light would be appreciated.

Lighting System at Cranberry Park Tennis Courts - Wednesday, September 26, 2007

The recently reported trouble has been fixed, so after-hours playing-time is back!

In case of future troubles with the lights please report them to us using the "Contact Us" form, or call the Cranberry Township Department of Parks and Recreation  directly, to report the problem.

This year the P&R Department has been very timely with repairs of the reported problems but they won't be able to fix them unless troubles had been reported to them.

Use the Forums or the Contact Us page when in doubt.

Courts' Lighting Problem at Cranberry Community Park - Saturday, October 29, 2005

2007 Update: Problems with lights and buzzeers at the courts have been comming back on occasion and although at first the P&R Department has been slow to react to our reports, now we have established the communication line with the Facility Manager and there should not be any significant delays in fixing any reported troubles.

If you notice any problem with the lights, buzzers or signage, please let us know via the Contact Us form.
